What does the portfolio overview of refrigeration systems show?

The portfolio view in Maci Intelligence is laid out the way you run things: clients at the top, their sites and buildings under them, and the individual refrigeration systems under those. At every level what needs action comes first. The operations manager sees the three systems with a warning at the top, with the 400 running normally below them.

LevelWhat you see
PortfolioSystems running normally, open warnings, leak checks due within 30 days and energy, for all clients together
ClientThe client’s sites and systems, open warnings, visits and reports
SiteThe systems in the building with status, temperature and the next deadline
SystemReadings, warnings, expected breakdown, system passport, F-gas log and service history

The overview is in the app and in the dashboard in the browser, so the manager in the office and the technician in the field work from the same figures.

How do you see expected breakdowns with time frame and cause?

When Maci Intelligence sees a system drift from its normal behaviour, it appears in the overview with an estimate of how long there is until a breakdown, how confident the estimate is, and the likely cause, such as bearing wear in the compressor or a slow leak. The warning typically comes 3 to 6 weeks ahead.

That makes service planning simpler. Systems with warnings can be grouped on the same round, and the technician can order the part in good time. Read more about predictive maintenance for refrigeration and the AI behind the warnings.

What is kept about each system: F-gas log, service history and rating plate?

Every refrigeration system has a passport in Maci Service behind a QR or NFC tag on the system. The technician scans the tag and sees the system before starting work. The rating plate is photographed with the phone, and AI reads the make, model, refrigerant and charge into the passport.

  • Master data from the rating plate: make, model, refrigerant and charge
  • Service history with the technicians’ dictated service reports
  • The F-gas log with leak check deadlines and reminders (Premium)
  • Warnings, readings and expected breakdowns from Maci Intelligence
  • Components and spare parts

Leak check deadlines are gathered in the portfolio view, so you can see which clients have checks due in the next 30 days. More under compliance and F-gas.

Who sees what: FM company, client and technician?

RoleSeesCan
The FM companyEvery client, site and systemChoose recipients and escalation, book technicians and send reports
The clientIts own sites and systemsSee status, warnings, reports and the F-gas log for its own systems
The technicianThe systems they serviceSee history and the system passport, dictate service reports and keep the F-gas log

You decide whether and when a client gets access. With read access to its own systems and reports, the client has the same figures you do, and the conversation about what happened on a system gets shorter.

Can the overview connect to your CAFM system?

Yes. Maci’s API delivers sites, systems, components, service history, the F-gas log and alerts to your own systems, so the refrigeration systems can sit in your CAFM or FM system without being typed in twice. See integrations.

The data belongs to the client and can be handed over in full. It is encrypted, stored in the EU and processed under GDPR with a data processing agreement. Read more about data security.

Can you see energy use per system, department and organisation?

Maci Intelligence measures the current on every system, so energy use can be shown per system and added up per department, site, client and the whole organisation. A system using more power than usual often has a fault starting. See operations and energy and reports for clients.

Questions and answers

Can our clients see their own systems?

Yes. You can give each client access to its own sites and systems with status, warnings, reports and the F-gas log. A client only sees its own systems.

Does the overview work with systems of different makes?

Yes. The sensors are fitted to existing systems whatever the make and read nothing from the controller, so every system sits in the same overview with the same readings.

What about systems without sensors?

They can still have a passport in Maci Service with a tag, service history and F-gas log. They appear in the overview, without readings and warnings from Maci Intelligence.

Can we get the data into our own system?

Yes, through Maci’s API, and the client can have all its data handed over. See integrations.

How does the data leave the system?

Over a wired network, or through a small LTE modem where there is no network at the system. Current, pressure and temperature are measured every minute.
